I just finished reading this excellent article from WIRED by Scott Gilbertson: When a Vintage RV Is Your Home, Repair Is a Way of Life | WIRED. It talks about the author’s adventure to buy a 50-year-old RV and move into it with his family, traveling across the US while maintaining and repairing the vehicle himself. He starts out with near-zero knowledge of how to do it, but meets people along the way who help him and teach him (such as his uncle).
